Indraprastha Cancer Society and Research Centre is a “not for profit organization”, formed under the Societies Registration Act 1860 and it had set up Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute & Research Centre, a standalone oncology care centre, in Delhi, in 1996. The founders of the society are a group of socially responsible selfless philanthropists, who had no financial resources but by dent of their hard work and sheer determination were able to, initially, raise money for running the hospital.
