Thyroid gale ki chhoti si granthi hai, lekin bigde to pura sharir mehsoos karta hai — khaas kar mahilaon me yeh problem bahut aam hai.
Thyroid Ke Lakshan
- Hypothyroid (kam kaam karna): thakan, wazan badhna, thand zyada lagna, baal jhadna, periods me gadbadi.
- Hyperthyroid (zyada kaam karna): dil tez dhadakna, wazan girna, haath kanpna, garmi bardasht na hona.
TSH Test Ka Matlab
TSH badha hua = thyroid sust (hypo); TSH ghata hua = thyroid tez (hyper). Sath me T3/T4 bhi dekhe jate hain. Dawa (thyroxine) subah khali pet leni hoti hai — chai/nashta 30-45 minute baad. Dawa shuru hone par har 6-8 hafte me TSH dohraya jata hai jab tak dose set na ho; phir saal me 1-2 baar. Pregnancy me thyroid control aur bhi zaroori hai.

High TSH means an underactive thyroid (fatigue, weight gain, hair fall); low TSH an overactive one (palpitations, weight loss). Thyroxine is taken on an empty stomach, with TSH re-checked 6-8 weekly until stable. Thyroid control matters even more in pregnancy.
